More Rotator Cuff Facts:

The rotator cuff is a shallow 'ball-and-socket' joint where the humerus (upper arm) meets the scapula (shoulder blade).

2-5% of the population will experience Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder), most for no apparent reason.

Women and diabetics are common sufferers of Frozen Shoulder.

BFST® can greatly reduce the time it takes to move through the 3 stages of Frozen Shoulder.

Rotator cuff tears occur most frequently in men, ages 40-50, who do manual overhead work.

The most common tendon torn in the rotator cuff is the supraspinatus tendon.

A complete tear of the supraspinatus tendon will limit your ability to lift your arm at your side (abduct).

Dear MendMeShop,

Thank you for spending time answering my questions and concerns on the Knee Inferno Wrap and wrist products and how to use them. I appreciate that, and I am impressed with your company's personal availability to personally talk with customers. In a fast pace, seemingly no care, 'all out for my benefit' mentality in our society it is refreshing to know I can go on-line and there are people doing business who do care for their product and the people buying them.
I went on-line to find help in treating my very painful meniscus and other issues Arthroscopic surgery on my right knee, that were more severe that my left knee issues had been, so I could find help in speeding up my recovery and get back on my feet again. Having had the same surgery on my left knee only 6 months prior, I was not able to recover as fast as my left knee had not yet fully recovered enough to take the full load of both knees. The Dr. said nothing about recovery only that I could not even put toe weight on my right knee for 4 weeks. So, with my left knee still in recovery this made life extremely difficult. So much so, I had to go to a wheel chair so I would not ruin either of my knees or my back which is suffering from degenerative discs. My knee issues stem from aging and over-use over the years. They are just wearing out.
I am an active person and was not going to consign myself to a wheel chair for the rest of my life. I had no access to physical therapy treatments in my personal situation. So, I took the bull by the horns and got busy finding out what I could do to help myself recover faster and get back in action physically. And I found your company.
I started my personal quest on Internet, which is all I was able to do physically at the time, and found your company, MendMeShop.com. I read all your info and was impressed with what I read and felt comfortable that you were genuine and were out to help me fully recover. The fully guaranteed refund was a plus to me so that I would not spend a lot lf money for something that I would be stuck with and as well did me no good.
You also had a personal way to contact your company to discuss any concerns I might have in using it. You also had expedited mailing so that I could have your product in a few days so I could get started in my recovery. I was willing to pay the extra mailing cost to get the product faster. You really came through on your end and I had my Inferno Knee Wrap in just a few days. That really firmed up to me that you back up your claims about your product and that you truly cared about me and so I could get onto faster recovery sooner.
After receiving the Inferno Knee Wrap, I was having personal issues in how often to use the Knee Wrap and so I called you to help me with this. I felt that the knee wrap was helping me, but I was finding that I could not use it to the fullest degree the instructions mentioned. You helped me and told me to call you back. From your recommendations, I started experimenting on my own to see what would work for me and I found a workable solution for me personally. Each person is unique and what works for one person may not work for another. So, I recommend not giving up and returning this product until you find what works for you.
Because my knee issues are so severe, it will take longer than I want it to, but I am plugging away and using the Inferno Knee Wrap along with stationery bike exercise and I am seeing progress each day.
Thank you for being there when I needed help in recovery of Arthroscopic Knee Surgery. I appreciate you and your company.

What Are Trigger Points?

Trigger points are specific, hyper-irritable and hypersensitive areas in muscle that can suffer from decreased circulation, increased contraction and spasm, and a build up of toxins and waste. Lack of circulation creates a high level of toxins and increased nerve sensitivity that can range from low ache to sharp pain.

Human body trigger points result from toxins and waste build up in a tight muscle.

Healthy muscle fiber is neither contracted nor stretched when at rest. When contracted the muscle fiber is closer together and when stretched, it's further apart. In a muscle that is causing trigger point pain, the fiber develops a knot and is in a constant state of contraction. The fiber around these knots is stretched by the excess tension and the muscle fibers become tighter. With the continuous contraction, blood flow is slowed to a stop in the trigger point area and essential oxygen and nutrients are prevented from reaching the muscle tissue. Toxins and waste build up in the muscle and you will experience pain, tension, irritation, and spasm.

Now, just because the trigger point causes the pain does not mean that the spot is painful itself. When the pain is located at the tense muscle spot it is called a primary trigger point. However, pain can also manifest itself in areas away from the active trigger point - such pain is called referred pain. It is important to treat the spot that causes the referred pain and not the location of the pain itself.

Trigger points cause pain more often than any other condition and are drastically under-diagnosed due to lack of information. Trigger point pain is usually a factor in most injuries although treating the trigger points is often overlooked. A common condition related to triggers points is known as myofascial pain.

Symptoms of Trigger Point Pain

The trigger point spot will usually become more tender or sting when you push on the spot and the referred pain will increase in intensity. Other symptoms include:

  • you will feel a knot or hard lump at the spot
  • the muscle may twitch when the spot is pushed
  • intolerance to weight on the shoulder (purse, backpack, etc.)
  • a deep ache over the top of the shoulder
  • pain on the back of the shoulder or on the inside of the upper arm

Causes of Trigger Point Pain

Tender trigger points typically develop from lack of stretching or improper stretching but can also be caused from stress/trauma, overuse of a muscle or even poor posture. Other common causes are:

  • sitting without firm back support (slumped posture)
  • prolonged sitting in a chair without armrests, or armrests that are too high, or too low (leaning to one side)
  • cradling a phone between ear and shoulder
  • large breasts
  • one leg shorter than the other
  • typing on a keyboard that is too high
  • prolonged improper sleeping position
  • playing a violin
  • kayaking
  • overly tight bra straps
  • carrying a purse (prolonged hiking up of the shoulder)
  • head-forward posture
  • whiplash
  • walking with a cane that is too long
Myofascial pain trigger points cause knots in the muscle fibers resulting in tight muscle.

Reduced circulation in trigger points will eventually lead to muscle shortening and restricted movement which further accentuates the pain, thus completing a cycle of decreased mobility and further pain. This commonly becomes the underlying cause of chronic headache pain, and the patient will continue to suffer from these until the problem trigger points are treated directly.

Mild Trigger Points can be addressed sometimes through massage and some sufferers maintain that acupuncture treats these problems as well, though it is not accepted by many medical institutions. Permanent removal of chronic trigger points and conditions caused by this (headaches, lack of flexibility in shoulders and neck, upper back pain, etc.) typically requires treatment using massage and BFST®.

Treating Trigger Point Pain - What You Can Do!

If you have shoulder and rotator cuff pain caused by tense, constricted muscles BFST® for your trigger points is an effective home treatment. Trigger point pain is caused by constricted muscle fibers, forming knots, and eventually building toxins in the area. The trick to getting rid of this pain is loosening the knots to release the constricted muscle fibers. This will allow blood to flow through the fibers once again, bringing the vital oxygen and nutrients required for healthy tissue. An effective and pain-free way to loosen the knots is with Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy through use of the Shoulder Inferno Wrap®.

Scar tissue develops as damaged rotator cuff tissue heals. This can lead to re-injury or other painful conditions if left untreated.

In addition, you want to get your muscle tissue back in the best possible condition you can. To do this, it is important to treat the scar tissue that forms in the muscle when the damaged tissue begins to heal - something our BFST® wraps are great at! Even with optimum healing, there is always less elasticity in previously injured muscles fibers. However, if you heal your trigger point pain properly and treat scar tissue build up, your chance of chronic trigger point pain and shoulder conditions later on is much lower than average.

MendMeShop Success Stories

There are healing tools that can help treat your rotator cuff muscle trigger point pain and speed up the healing process so you can get back to a life without further trigger point pain. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) will loosen the knots at the trigger points, treat scar tissue, and promote blood flow to loosen your constricted muscles and heal the fibers faster and more completely than other home treatment methods available.

Once the inflammation of your rotator cuff injury has been reduced through use of the Shoulder Freezie Wrap®, nourishing and strengthening the tendon tissue and surrounding area is recommended. Using Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy will speed your recovery and heal your rotator cuff more completely preparing it for strengthening exercises. Talk to your doctor or physical therapist to find out which exercises are appropriate for your situation.

Inferno Wrap® Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy

After severe inflammation and swelling is reduced you can begin to treat your rotator cuff tendons and muscles with Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®). BFST® increases the amount of blood that flows naturally to your shoulder to nourish your soft tissue to speed healing.

The Shoulder Inferno Wrap speeds the healing of rotator cuff tendon injuries and tears.

The rotator cuff naturally receives a limited blood supply and when you stop moving your shoulder because it hurts the blood flow is reduced even further, limiting your body's natural ability to heal itself.

By treating your rotator cuff with BFST® you can increase your body's blood supply to the shoulder and increase your body's natural healing power.

An Inferno Wrap® is the tool you need to treat your sore shoulder because it speeds healing and relaxes the surrounding muscles. With BFST®, tissues are safely and gently stimulated. Your body responds with a rapid increase in blood flow to the area, increasing the supply of oxygen and nutrients to injured tissue cells to promote healing. Our Shoulder Inferno Wrap® provides effective, non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief and healing with no side effects.

In addition, the improved blood flow whisks away dead cells and toxins that have built up from your trigger point pain. When you stop moving your arm and shoulder due to shoulder pain, your muscles and other tissue can become weaker and dead cells and toxins in the area can cause further tissue deterioration - this can lead to atrophy. By clearing the area of toxins and increasing the amount of oxygen and nutrients to your muscle and other tissue, the risk of atrophy (muscle weakness and/or deterioration) is greatly reduced. Keeping your upper arm, shoulder and rotator cuff tissue as healthy as possible throughout the healing process will allow you to improve shoulder strength again once your pain has gone and your trigger point pain has healed.

Rotator Cuff Injury Facts:

The term "rotator cuff" refers to a group of four tendons that attach four shoulder muscles to the upper arm bone.

About 6 million people in the U.S. seek medical care each year for shoulder problems.

The shoulder joint has the widest range of motion of all joints in the body.

Rotator cuff injuries are typically associated with motions that require repeated overhead motions or forceful pulling motions. This is an injury that is very common in athletes, especially baseball pitchers, football players, weightlifters, rugby players, volleyball players, swimmers, boxers, tennis players, bowlers and cheerleaders.

AidMyRotatorCuff (a division of MendMeShop) is an FDA registered company. This means our products are of very high quality, made from biocompatible materials.

Continual repetitive use of the injured rotator cuff will lead to a worse injury.

Although the rotator cuff can tear suddenly as a result of a serious injury, most rotator cuff problems develop over time.
