The very shallow shoulder joint has a 'sac' or Capsule the surrounds it. The capsule has overlapping folds on it when it is not stretched by large shoulder movements. 'frozen shoulder' or Adhesive Capsulitis is the condition where the folds adherer to each other with scar tissue and then restricts the shoulders movement by not allowing the capsule to expand or stretch. This can be a very painful and frustrating condition to have. Performing friction therapy manually through the armpit to breakdown these adhesions is painful and invasive. I was training for the Big Sur Marathon last winter when I got a tendon injury in my right foot. I've been running marathons for 13 years, and was an elite level athlete for a number of those years. I represented the United States in the 2000 Paralympics, so have had multiple injuries and had access to great physical therapy. During all that time, I never had an injury like this one. After multiple tests confirmed a tendon injury, I followed through with physical therapy. I stopped running completely in March but the pain didn't get better. After months of not running, the injury didn't improve. One of my neighbors told me that she had cured her plantar fasciitis (a dreaded runner's injury because it's so resistant to healing) with an at-home regime using the MendMeShop's home ultra sound machine. I have been suffering from a torn rotator cuff for 4 months. I have been seeing a professional physiotherapist for three of these months who said this injury will take about a year to heal. I would very much like to write a review for your cold wraps since they have been such a help to me. I am an avid tennis player that has this year suffered from both elbow and achilles tendonitis. For years I've been the best in my club but once my tendonitis set in I just couldn't compete. I tried creams and pain killers and bands but they didn't get me better. Two weeks ago, I was working out at the Gym and during a "one arm preacher curl", I stressed my forearm, I think the injury is similar to Tennis/Golf elbow. I've had a previous injury to my opposite elbow/forearm, that "tennis elbow" injury took almost 2 months to heal. I went to my chiropractor who administered ultrasound therapy. I know the benefits of ultra sound and recognize how the treatments can improve the healing time. After the treatment, I decided to get a heated message unit to help with healing. During a subsequent web search I came across The Mend Me Shop and the Home Ultrasound unit. I decided to take a chance and forgo the traditional hand held heat/message unit in favor of the Ultrasound unit. I made a very good choice. Thanks for a great product! I had worked in Occupational Therapy for several years and had access to the equipment for patients, as well as personal use, and I know how much ultrasound can benefit the healing process. I used it regularly on patients as well as on my own ankle that I had sprained several times and I usually had good results. I am now a stay at home mom to 3 young children and I am constantly on the go. I recently broke my ankle (a result of compensating for sciatic pain) while outside playing with my son.
